The tracking gate does a bit of wiggling when it has a lock, is that what you mean by flashing?

Yes it was. I wondered what the hell you were on about for a bit there.:)

If you're looking for a an easier way to slew onto multiple targets then you're best of using Path Hold mode in autopilot. This keeps the aircraft stable. Also, set the SLEW to 1 or 2 on the maverick so that it only moves small increments. With path hold and a small slew you can easily lock onto other targets.

I made this tutorial which shows the use of path hold to aquire multiple targets...

Counterintuitive as it may be, Maverick slew rate is most sensitive at 0.5 and least sensitive at 9.5. The same is true of the System slew rate, except the range of acceptable values is 0.1 to 9.5.

It should.

Edit: the slew sensitivity used to be the other way around until it got fixed. I'm not sure what patch it was.

Whoa, is this the same for the STAT page HOTAS slew rate as well? Looks like I'll have to change my startup sequence a bit then.

It was patch 1.1.1.1. Quote from the change log below:

•Maverick slew sensitivity is independent of HOTAS throttle slew sensitivity now. Slew logic was reversed - 0.5 is most sensitive, and 9.5 is least sensitive. Adjusted HOTAS throttle slew sensitivity range, and values minimum step.
