stupid question but...

Have a small question. I'm learning A10 now, and have learned to land and stuff but..

 

How do i shut down that **** EGI when i'm on the ground closing down everything?

 

Cant find it in the manual

Move the EGI switch from on to off, that should do it. ;)

There is some where on the Wiki of a LGB bomb checklist and with it there is a shut off sequence, also shut down list in the manual. I generally work the start up in reverse. Once parked, Master safe, GUN,LASER and TGP if not already, MFDS, CICU, CDU, OXY, Throttles to IDLE then off, FUEL, STAB, OPEN CANOPY, Radios all

off, i like to drop the ladder as well just to appreciate my flight not ending in a fireball and blackened earth.

AAP, pages 171 -173 in the Flight Manual. Right Console.

 

2. EGI Power Switch. Labeled EGI, this two position switch has two positions: ON enables power to the EGI systems and OFF disables power. Upon starting a mission, it is advised that you provide power to the EGI soon after engine start as it will take considerable time to align the navigation system.
