I'm flying the mission Weapons Training. I'm carrying 2 GBU-10, 2 CBU-87, and 2 CBU-97. I can't get any of them to release.

For example I just made a pass. I selected the GBU-10. I went into the DSMS profile and changed it to CCRP, Set Auto Lase on, and LS Time 10 and saved. I made a perfect run, squeezed and held the bomb release button and released it when it was time and nothing. I've tried this several times with all 3 munitions none will drop. I've double and triple checked that the master arm and laser arm are on, the TGP is in point mode with the target locked up. I'm not getting any error messages on the HUD.

I'm not sure if its related but after each failed bomb run the DSMS resets the profile info back to its original settings.

right now I've got both GBU-10s selected they say GBU-10/I688 in the middle it says CCRP M/GBU-10 SGL N/T

The GBU-10 Profile control says

ESC MNVR CLM

BMB MNT PYLON

DES TOF: 0.0

N-NONE ---

T-FMU139LD 4.0

AUTO LASE: ON

LASER TIME 10 SEC

LASER CODE I688

SOLUTION ORP

MIN ALT 0

ADJ RT 0

ADJ UP 0

EJECT VEL 0

RACK DEL 0.00

Once again no joy.

Don't let off the weapon release button until it drops.

The EO TIME message is just to inform you that the AGM65's have been powered on for a while. Hit the ACK osb to clear it.

Maybe I wasn't specific enough. I tried holding down the release button until i was miles away from the target. It just won't drop. I did everything I did in the training segments the bombs just won't release. I've tried holding down the weapons release when the Time to Drop first appears, I've tried holding it down when "Man Release" flashes on the HUD, I did about 20 bomb runs doing everything I could think of they just won't drop.

The best thing you can do is to post a track.

It is likely to be something simple, but even if it is something out of the ordinary, being able to 'look over your shoulder' in the cockpit will be the easiest way to sort it out.

ASUS ROG Maximus VIII Hero, i7-6700K, Noctua NH-D14 Cooler, Crucial 32GB DDR4 2133, Samsung 950 Pro NVMe 256GB, Samsung EVO 250GB & 500GB SSD, 2TB Caviar Black, Zotac GTX 1080 AMP! Extreme 8GB, Corsair HX1000i, Phillips BDM4065UC 40" 4k monitor, VX2258 TouchScreen, TIR 5 w/ProClip, TM Warthog, VKB Gladiator Pro, Saitek X56, et. al., MFG Crosswind Pedals #1199, VolairSim Pit, Rift CV1

I know it's an idiot question but... You are holding down the weapon release button and not the gun trigger right? lol

Since you are making a perfect run I assume you set a SPI down with the targeting pod as well right?

Track, post it.

They are located in C/users/user name/saved games/ then its something like dcs/multiplayer/tracks, and they are all there.

Make it short. I tried uploading a track that was only 20 mb big and it took 40 minutes and failed at the end.

As for the DSMS page resetting, the issue there is this:

When you go to DSMS and manually click on a munition like GBU and then go to profile settings and do all the stuff there, you are creating a TEMPORARY profile.

If you were to click away from that munition for a second, and go back, it would be reset to default settings.

In order to create profiles for the weapons in the DSMS that stay there, you need to edit the profile settings in the DSMS, and then while flying, make your HUD SOI, and then press DMS left or right short, and you can see on the DSMS page that it selects all the different profiles for the weapons on board, and that any saved changes to the profile you have made will be there.

Its the actual act of MANUALLY pressing the OSB next to the weapon on the DSMS page that AUTOMATICALLY chooses the default settings for the weapon. Consider it like an override button to whatever the hell you did in the profile settings page.

This is the reason that when I fly with my CBU-97s, I make them drop in CCRP mode, but there are times I want to drop them in CCIP mode, so all I do is manually choose the CBU=97 and BAM, CCIP default setting. Like a BOSS. It's almost like having two profiles running for the same weapon.

thanks i didn't know about that. Once i used that method to save the changes it worked and I was able to successfully drop my ordinance. Guess it had something to do with the auto lase.
