Mohamengina Posted October 8, 2012 Posted October 8, 2012 Is anybody aware of any decent step-by-step radio tutorials for the A-10? I feel like I've mastered mostly everything in the plane but I still don't know how to work the radios properly for things like ATC, J-Tac and mid-air refuelling. Any training tools you could forward on to me would be greatly appreciated.
Cookie Posted October 8, 2012 Posted October 8, 2012 This is a really nice tutorial: - Two miles of road lead nowhere, two miles of runway lead everywhere - Click here for system specs
Adi Posted October 8, 2012 Posted October 8, 2012 I've just turned the easy comms off today too, and this is the very same video I used to teach me. The guy doing the video is a dab hand at all these tutorials, he even does them for BMS, spent many an hour watching and learning from him.
WildBillKelsoe Posted October 9, 2012 Posted October 9, 2012 the best tutorial out there is by warriorX http://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=1028737&postcount=1 just remember, on non-easy comms, just flick the switch to desired radio (AM/FM/UHF) and then select from menu. AWAITING ED NEW DAMAGE MODEL IMPLEMENTATION FOR WW2 BIRDS Fat T is above, thin T is below. Long T is faster, Short T is slower. Open triangle is AWACS, closed triangle is your own sensors. Double dash is friendly, Single dash is enemy. Circle is friendly. Strobe is jammer. Strobe to dash is under 35 km. HDD is 7 times range key. Radar to 160 km, IRST to 10 km. Stay low, but never slow.
Mohamengina Posted October 11, 2012 Author Posted October 11, 2012 Great, thanks. These are really useful. Should have the radios mastered in no time.
