To me it shows engine failure after about 3 minutes of flight. Overheat? I had the same thing few weeks before, and since then I don't use near max manifold pressure or RPM. And even if, I don't keep it for more than few seconds. And always keep eye on temperature gauge, to counter any needle move beyond green zone ;)

Looks like some bug related to replaying tracks :D Seen that like yesterday, after I wanted to se my mustang being shot down by AAA. Instead wing torn off by canon, I saw me, crashing into the hillside just as if I let go of the stick.

Well in my version...there is no water involved in the crash. The engine seizes and I turn to land on the strip, land side, and crash 30 feet before the threshold.

But it seems the track system in DCS world is a view into the multiverse :smartass:

Interesting...

Did you take off before your engine was warmed up?

Good, fast, cheap. Choose any two.

Come let's eat grandpa!

The mission starts on the runway with engine running and dials show its warmed-up. The manifold pressure was below the red line and the RPM in the green when it happened.

I think that malfunction is set to be a bit too sensitive. The random malfunction option was set to off.

I found out that opening the oil and coolant radiators for a few seconds cools the engine right out...who knew...:music_whistling:

It seems that if your engine temp gauge is at the end of the green area - not past it - you are in very real danger of seizing the engine.

So I put the rads on switches.
