DCS 1.2.2 auto update fail - hash mismatch

Hi Anyone,

 

- DCS tries to auto-update itself (fine)

- DCS AD validates local files (fine)

- DCS AD starts to download, gets to 5% or whatever, then hash mismatch

 

Happens every time.

 

Anyone got any ideas how to resolve, or am I stuck?

 

Had the same issue with 1.2.1 in the end, though the first few updates in 1.2.1 when fine.

Nevermind All, seems that disabling Kaspersky AV magically allows the auto-updater to work.

 

Not confidence inspiring, but a fix I suppose.

I have a different problem. The auto-update used to work before, but now (version 1.2.2.7204) the update message box briefly shows up and disappears. Tried disabling avast for 10 minutes (can't kill it via task manager), but to no avail. Anyone having a similar problem? So, the game loads, but doesn't auto-update and I really need those FC2 campaigns :)

Yep after my last issue that noone answered, i ended up reinstalling to get it working, but now i get Hash Mismatch when i try to update to this one. Thats two updates neither will install, If it carrys on like this im gonna run out of licences very very quickly.

 

I have tried turning off Anti Virus and its running as administrator.

 

Windows 7 64bit.

 

DCS World and modules 1.2.1

 

Thought the auto update system was made to make life easier not make it so you dread turning on and finding a Update.

Hmm, after searching some more, I stumbled upon a thread which mentioned existence of an update log file. So, after checking it, it seems to have been finding a repair option available. So, I learned there's a repair DCS World action, too.

 

Maybe this should be mentioned in some bugs sticky thread, but even more so, the updater should mention this as an error message, rather than just closing (e.g. a message box popping up and saying, e.g. "There's a repair available. Please run 'Repair DCS World.'" or smth.

 

Still not working, though.. Apparently, it failed to download it but the sizes don't really match (the downloaded size is much bigger, unless the second value is in MBs):

EDIT:

 

I'm reinstalling the 1.2.1 and auto-updating to see what will happen. I hope it will work and that I won't have to download the whole 1.2.2 again, otherwise, what's the purpose of these auto-updates (auto-updates or incremental patches are fine by me, downloading 5+ GBs and reinstalling everything every month, especially with this slow internet access, not so much :) ).

 

EDIT 2:

 

Reinstalling and updating helped - I'm now at 7570 version. Although, I didn't install any of the modules yet - the old ones won't install so I have to download the newer version.. Still much better then re-downloading the whole release again..

 

Added the new module versions and there was no activation required. So, all is good now and hopefully this version will be updateable in the future.
