JozMk.II Posted November 18, 2012 Posted November 18, 2012 1.2.2.7286 is the version of DCS: World that I am running. As seen in the attached pictures, the sun glare only shows when the sun is at the edge of my display. Any further towards the center of my display, and it reverts to a glare-less circle. I have HDR set to "warm colors." Can someone help me resolve this? I've liked the sun glare very much ever since it was implemented in DCS: A-10C, and would be saddened to not be able to enjoy it anymore.
PeterP Posted November 18, 2012 Posted November 18, 2012 (edited) Are you using Multi-Monitors/a Camera render that doesn't match with your whole in-game resolution ? - your screens-shots indicate this. : A Plea for View-Export/Multi-head/TH Users. - ED Forums >>> 3. When you have your Center-view-port not in the same position/resolution as the whole in-game resolution the Sun-glare HDR effect doesn't match up with your In-game render, It always covers the whole in-game resolution. I made a "very high contrast version" of the same image to show you where sun-glare is placed: >>> More info of it:HDR Sun Glare Missalignment Still persistent in 1.1.2.1 Possible solution: Bind HDR Sun effect to the Center-view-port and/or to which view-port the user wants. This also influence the over-G/black-out visuals! Can someone help me resolve this? I've liked the sun glare very much ever since it was implemented in DCS: A-10C, and would be saddened to not be able to enjoy it anymore. Don't use a "unexpected" monitor configuration. Means : Use only one monitor. http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?p=1495854&mode=linear#post1495854 Edited November 18, 2012 by PeterP

Is it something with video card manufacturers and their drivers? "The art of simulation design is about understanding limited fidelity... ...compromises must be made. Designers have to consider cost vs. fidelity and processor time vs. fidelity. Additional trade-offs must be made between graphics, AI, flight models, number of units and more... ...never ask the pilot what he wants to learn because he too will end up building an airplane. Instead, ask the pilot what he needs to learn." -Gilman "Chopstick" Louie
Kuky Posted November 21, 2012 Posted November 21, 2012 2 years?! Is it something with video card manufacturers and their drivers? No, it's on ED table to fix and they haven't done anything about it yet as they consider it low priority as not parge portion of people are using more than 1 monitor.
