bunraku Posted November 21, 2012 Posted November 21, 2012 Hi I am trying to make a custom radio message be broadcast when i ener a zone. There is no event in the first column, and i have tried unit and coalition in the second column and tried several radio freqs and combinations in the 3rd and the .wav file never plays. Any suggestions or guides?
MadTommy Posted November 22, 2012 Posted November 22, 2012 (edited) Works for me. I've used this trigger to add radio chatter on certain frequencies. Mission start > randon 100% > radio transmission. This works without an issue. I noticed by default the trigger sets to FM 124.000 which is a incorrect frequency. Things you need to do.. Check the wav file plays in game, press the play button on the trigger. Make sure you are using a correct frequency in the trigger and your radio is turned on and set correctly. Make sure you are close enough to the trigger zone so you can pick up the radio transmission. Add a debug text message to be broadcast at the same time the Radio Transmission is to be played.. if you don't see the text message the issue is in your trigger conditions. If you can't get it working post your mission, for us to look at. hachiman Posted November 24, 2012 Posted November 24, 2012 How do you string words together so they make a complete sentence using the stock sounds from the game for a broadcast?
MadTommy Posted November 25, 2012 Posted November 25, 2012 How do you string words together so they make a complete sentence using the stock sounds from the game for a broadcast? You need a good audio program. If i wanted to do this i have Adobe Audition, but it is a premium professional tool, i'm sure there are free options around. I heard people talk of audacity being good, never used it myself. i5-3570K @ 4.5 Ghz, Asus P8Z77-V, 8 GB DDR3, 1.5GB GTX 480 (EVGA, superclocked), SSD, 2 x 1680x1050, x-fi extreme music. Heli Shed Posted November 25, 2012 Posted November 25, 2012 Sound to all is just as good. Particularly if mixed in with a message to all too. audacity is a good program to use and with a little high band filter pass and some white noise, eh voila! Instant radio tone for the message. I used this method a lot for the op hammer online campaign. For those of you that flew it you will remember them well. Regards. 'T' Come pay us a visit on YouTube - search for HELI SHED
Heli Shed Posted November 25, 2012 Posted November 25, 2012 To add. Drag and drop the sound files in audacity. Match their end and start points. Add white noise before and after. High band pass level filter. Highlight it all. Save as .ogg. Job done. Come pay us a visit on YouTube - search for HELI SHED
