tonym Posted November 26, 2012 Posted November 26, 2012 Is it possible to connect a Saitek switch panel to program additional switches in DCS? I have tried but can't get it to show up in the Options menu. Any ideas much appreciated.
CyBerkut Posted November 26, 2012 Posted November 26, 2012 Per the product's web page at Saitek.com: "Ships with support for only Flight Simulator X" As I recall, they supposedly had an API for developing interfacing to other programs, but I have not seen anything produced by anybody for other sims. You could try inquiring directly with Saitek about the API... [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] There's no place like 127.0.0.1
nickmow Posted November 26, 2012 Posted November 26, 2012 I've been holding out for Something, Anything to make the Saitek panels I have work with something other than FSX or FS9. Some where on these forums I think somebody got some info to display on the X52 pro MFD and was working on getting a gauge to work on the Saitek Instrument panel. I love my panels but dear god, Saitek dropped the ball by not letting them function with any other software. I search a lot on a regular basis and thus far, it's not happening. Basically Saitek have offered no support, input, advice, software or interest in adapting their product for the end user. Surprising in a market where multi sim compatibility would probably sell more units ?
-Demon- Posted April 2, 2013 Posted April 2, 2013 ... Surprising in a market where multi sim compatibility would probably sell more units ? That is exactly what I have written to the support team at MadCats(Saitek). They just returned a mail saying, that the developers of DCS Series might have programmed a driver to use that switch panel with their product. Saitek is obviously not interrested in selling more units by just releasing a switch panel configuration tool. That could be so easy for someone who knows how to programm. Unfortunately I am a total loser on that part. There is another Configuration Tool called SPAD around, but that is also only for the FSX. Maybe I should contact the programmer and ask if he wants to programm a tool for dcs?! Cheers Demon [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Founder of the -=VDS=- http://www.virtual-dragon-squadron.de:pilotfly:
