NBEagle Posted November 30, 2012 Posted November 30, 2012 Hi there, i have seen some graphic anomalies concerning to SH-60B and the sun... here is a video which can explain it more than words: http://depositfiles.com/files/ql7avl1yn At the beginning of the video sequence you can see the sunset in the backround, but the sun reflections at the water does not match the sun on horizon... SH-60B shadow is still on deck when the helicopter disappears and pop up again And here are 2 pics of the C-17: engines are normally engines not visible (hole) Are these things concerning to DCS or the graphic board drivers? (in my case a Nvidia GTX580) regards
Tasmanian Posted December 1, 2012 Posted December 1, 2012 I had similar issue on GTX260 896Mb and 32bit XP. They say this is due to lack of video memory. It is true. Monitoring video memory usage under high details it really reaches full 896Mb in 5-20 minutes of gameplay and one can see missing textures. So reducing texture quality to medium/low helps. Or if you run in true fullscreen mode alt+tab forces to reload trextures. It is a pity that ED do not solve this. Because card performance is enough even at high details, memory is enough to display the scene (the overfill occurs after changing several different aerodrome views). The only thing needed is to free the memory from unused stuff. I have games that also go up to limit but none of them causes texture or objects missing.

Done't forget all of the systems that are up and running at the same time. RWR, TAD, TGT Pode, Counter Measure Systems (all of them up and running at the same time) Maverick Seeker Camera is up and waiting for input CDU, ILS is on and waiting, Divert Course is available and waiting, among others. No other game requires this much to run at the same time certainly no FP Shooter needs all of this data to run concurently as DCS Madules do. This was a Boutique Builder iBuypower rig. NBEagle Posted December 3, 2012 Author Posted December 3, 2012 Thanks for your answers! Sorry, i am a bit late because of my work... But i think the anomalies shown in the video cannot concerning to your solutions... e.g. the sun mismatch

Suchacz Posted January 5, 2013 Posted January 5, 2013 Oh, I thought, that we see those new Ramjets! This happened to me today. This is not a dammage, it's missing part of the model. Per aspera ad astra! Crucial reading about DCS: Black Shark - Black Shark and Coaxial Rotor Aerodynamics, Black Shark and the Trimmer, Black Shark – Autopilot: Part 1, Black Shark – Autopilot: Part 2
