Just done a re-install from scratch. BS1, DCS World 1.2.1, BS2. I started the auto-updater which worked fine initially. Later the progress bar stopped moving so I cancelled thinking it must've crashed. Only now when I launch auto-updater it appears to go straight to the normal launcher and into the GUI. I'm still at 1.2.1 but the auto-updater doesn't seem to be checking for updates anymore.

It only checks once a day. Run the 'update DCS world' shortcut if you want to try again on the same day.

That's what I was running. It was kicking me straight to launcher.exe.

As a suggestion for the developers, maybe you should include data transfer rate on the progress bar. That way people will know the updater is still busy and not crashed.

Had the same problem and agree with this suggestion. It may also be more user friendly to have a 'Check for Updates Now' button included in the DCS World Start screen or Options screen.

Under Start -- All Programs -- Eagle Dynamics -- DCS World

If for some reason it isn't there, you can find the exe file here: X:\Eagle Dynamics\DCS World\bin\DCS_updater.exe" (where X is your start location)
