I have been a flight sim enthusiast since FS1 for the TRS80 which I still have..along with about 150 other flight simulator programs and the old computers that ran them. It fills my garage. My latest computer is an I72600K with 2 nvidia 580's and 2TB of drive space with the OP on a ssd drive, 12gb of mem and 1200watt ps, I have 3 19in monitors driven by a Triple Head to Go....etc. All my other machines which still have the older sims on them were the state of the art at that particular time.

I have a new upgraded TM Warthog which I have not used other than reflashing with the latest fm. I use my Logitech G940 on the computer which has BS and A10 on it. On a different computer which has FC2 and several other flight sims, I use a Saitek x52. This computer is also a I72600K with dual cards...etc. I have another computer that is a I7950 with dual vid cards that has FC2 and has a 120hz monitor with the 3D setup.

I also have several loaded Amigas that run a motion flight simulator.

On all the new computers I run MS Win 7 64bit Ultimate.

I have purchased a lot of software that support ED and their previous owners. (SU27 Flanker...etc)

Since I lived in Reno Nevada for 30 years, I have since moved to Washington state, I have waited patiently for the Nevada feature that was suppose to arrive any time now.

I have not run BS or A10 in over 6 months. I am waiting for a somewhat finished somewhat bug free version of these programs. I have not purchased the upgrade of BS nor have I purchased the newest P51 beta simulator. I am also sure I have not purchased the latest version of A10. And of course I have not added the DCS world program for fear it will ruin the early version of BS and A10 that are installed and run without too much trouble. I might add that after reading many of the posts concerning these programs I am leary as to how to proceed.

I would like to purchase all the latest versions that are relatively finished. I would like to know which versions these are and in what order to load them without conflict. Please give the sorting order. Do you load the DCS module first? Then the others....and what version of these modules is compatable with my system(s). That is the reason I listed all my particular systems. I would really like to purchase the box versions of these instead of trying to download all of this.

So what I am asking is I would like to have the latest versions of BS, A10 and the P51 modules and whatever the required DCS version is. If there is still problems with all the modules and the DCS world I will wait.

I also want to purchase the latest FC3 when it comes out. Is it going to be distributed on disk?

No need to buy anything at all, your serial works across all versions.

What you need to do is:

1. Uninstall everything

2. Install DCS World (download it here)

3. Install the modules you want (download them here)

4. Play

It´s quite simple really.

Not sure what the rest of your post with all those computers and places where you lived has to do with anything, so I leave that part of the answer (if there is any) to others.

Because of the way DCS World and the modules are updated now, it's useless to distribute them on disk. Your disk would become useless after the first major upgrade.

Win11 Pro 64-bit, Ryzen 5800X3D, Corsair H115i, Gigabyte X570S UD, EVGA 3080Ti XC3 Ultra 12GB, 64 GB DDR4 G.Skill 3600. Monitors: LG 27GL850-B27 2560x1440 + Samsung SyncMaster 2443 1920x1200, HOTAS: Warthog with Virpil WarBRD base, MFG Crosswind pedals, TrackIR4, Rift-S, Elgato Streamdeck XL.

Personal Wish List: A6 Intruder, Vietnam theater, decent ATC module, better VR performance!

Help with loading everything

Cookie, Thanks for the reply. Reason I listed my different computers was to clarify any compatibility issues with each system...perhaps someone found that a particular module will not support two video cards in SLI...conflict with drivers for ssd drivers or sound...etc and list any problems they may have had with a similar system. I have had several problems with the Triple head display unit and I have had trouble with the different controllers. I also had a problem with the TrackIR. The reason for stating that I lived in Reno Nevada was to note that since I had lived in that area I was really looking forward to the Nevada Map module that was promised a looooong time ago. I have been in that area many times.

Lange666, Thanks for the reply. Its always convenient to have a disk to reload a module if the newest upgrade has more problems than the previous build. Since DCS released FC2 in boxed version I thought they may do the same with FC3 and later do the same for the other modules. I suppose you are correct that if they continue to release bug fixes and all their modules are always in beta and really never get to a stable state continuing to release these repair versions would be best as you say to just have downloads.

I will uninstall all of my previous versions. I see where 8gb flash drives are only 8.00 each. I intend on downloading each module onto a separate flash drive. As I recall it took about 9 hours to dL A10 and I have cable internet.

Last time I downloaded a module it was somehow corrupted and would not initialize correctly.

If I run into the inevitable problem with a version on one system, its always convenient to have another computer to try.
