johnnychemo Posted December 15, 2012 Posted December 15, 2012 Anyone have one of these they are willing to share?
Lange_666 Posted December 16, 2012 Posted December 16, 2012 (edited) I have one, self made so it's not accurate to a real world setup if you are looking for something like that. Also, i tend to put the same stuff on the same buttons for every sim if this is possible. Example: BTN H3R /I is always gear toggle If i don't do that i have to relearn the action for every button each time i switch game. I tried with printed layouts first and although it helps, it's far from ideal so i took the "all the same if possible" approach. The current microfile is still the one from LockOn FC2. Another thing you run into when using my profile is that it's for an AZERTY keyboard. So you have to convert it to the keyboard you are using (not for every key but for around 20% of them). Also, i'm using a slightly modified key layout inside DCS (to make it work with the profile and to make it work with an AZERTY keyboard). Just PM me if you are interested. johnnychemo Posted December 16, 2012 Author Posted December 16, 2012 Sure, love to take a look at it. I have no problem tweak it to my needs, I do that all the time. I think it helps me learn the sim. I hear you about keeping similar actions (ie TIR reset, TS/Vent talk button) in the same spots from sim to sim too! I've been messing around with a file, and I'm looking for what a more mature profile would look like - what commands you feel are important enough to warrant going on the stick, general layout, etc. One thing I'm having trouble with is handling the TDC. I used the same basic setup I use for BS2 shkval, but it is too sensitive for my taste. Here is what I use: MIX 3 Target_Designator_Left ^ Target_Designator_Right MIY 3 Target_Designator_Down ^ Target_Designator_Up Any suggestions in that area are much appreciated!
Home Fries Posted December 20, 2012 Posted December 20, 2012 (edited) I just uploaded a FC3 one size fits all profile that uses heavy DirectX commands on the Cougar and makes the differences in the DCS World interface itself. It may need a few tweaks before it goes primetime, though. http://community.combatsim.com/topic/30726-flaming-cliffs-3-cougar-hotasmfd-profile-available/ Edited December 21, 2012 by Home Fries Fixed link -Home Fries My DCS Files and Skins My DCS TARGET Profile for Cougar or Warthog and MFDs F-14B LANTIRN Guide
