Ok, So I'm not totally understanding the system ED has got going here pertaining to the whole copyright protection/DCS World thing. I bought DCS A-10C and I would simply like to play a coop server, but it seems 75% of servers that I attempt to join crash me back to the DCS World main screen or whatever. I click join, it downloads the mission file and it loads. After it loads the first time it glitches up and seems like it's trying to show me a map but it's blended with the loading screen then it tries to load again and crashes. What's up?

At first I thought it's because I don't have all the modules, so I went and download the CA, FC3, and P-51D modules, installed them (except for FC3, for some reason unbeknownst to me, perhaps copyright protection, it requires a previous version of Lock On), and ran DCS World. I click multiplayer and it asks me for the keys for my new modules and of course I don't have any so I just click exit until the activation screens go away and the game starts. Then, like I said, I try to join a server and BAM "DCS.exe has stopped working."

Really curious.

For FC 3 you need to have Lockon OR FC2 installed. This is due to legal requirments from UBISOFT. (which owns lockon)

As for the crashing, got you post system details, windows version, 32/64 bits.

Also, did you install the game and run the game whit administrator rights? (assuming vista/7)

Given the fact that its in multiplayer, could be the integrity check.

Meaning that certain files on your computer are different then on the server and hence the server is kicking you out.

(this is a feature to prevent cheating, for example putting aim120's on a10c's)

I'd suggest running the Updater (as administrator) and after that the repair dcs world.exe (again as administrator)

both can be found in;

start, all programes, eagle dynamics, dcs world

To find your "CD/Activation keys" go to;

http://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com

On bottom left log in using account you used to buy everything

and then go to "payments"

All your purchases will be listed here including the activation keys.

I haven't bought P-51D or Combined Arms, do I need to in order to use the modules? Or can I continue skipping the activation?

Yes, to use those modules you need to purchase a license for them.

Uninstall them, as you dont have keys and it's gonna prompt you repeatedly,

Without P-51/CA installed you can still play online with people that have them, as the P-51, CA, and KA-50 Assets are Integrated into the Core of DCSW.
