Hyphara Posted January 2, 2013 Posted January 2, 2013 Hi guys, after having lots of fun with the A10 im currently on the fence of purchasing Black Shark 2. However im a little unsure about the compatibility of the K-50 with the A10 and other blue forces airplanes that might be released later on. Could anybody tell me if i can integrate the K-50 into the SADL of the A10, if i use the K-50 on the blue side? And how about cooperation with a JTAC? Basically my question is, how will Black Shark cooperate with present and future blue aircraft. Thanks a lot

There are work-arounds and there is teamspeak. For JTAC, which is not a standard feature, see my sig. 'Frett'
Weta43 Posted January 2, 2013 Posted January 2, 2013 Could anybody tell me if i can integrate the K-50 into the SADL of the A10 if i use the K-50 on the blue side? Not natively / automatically, but though the A-10 by default uses MRGS, it can use LL, so both aircraft have a common system for entering co-ordinates manually - they can therefore transfer targets over teamspeak (or TARS ?) between the A-10 and the Ka-50 in MP. And how about cooperation with a JTAC? Basically my question is, how will Black Shark cooperate with present and future blue aircraft. In MP - a CA player can be JTAC, then see above for data interchange. In SP only Blue has JTAC at the moment, and by default there is no JTAC for the Ka-50. There is a mod though to give access to JTAC to blue Ka-50 in SP. Cheers.
TurboHog Posted January 2, 2013 Posted January 2, 2013 @Weta43 My JTAC mod also works in MP, provided that you have the correct R-828 presets. I have chosen most common freqs like 30, 31, 40. 95% of the online missions makes use of one of the preset frequencies. Furthermore you can give A10 pilots L/L DMS coordinates and vica versa. 'Frett'
Weta43 Posted January 3, 2013 Posted January 3, 2013 @ TurboHog: I haven't used your mod (haven't had a chance to fly the Ka-50 much lately), but I've read the thread what seems like ages ago- I think it's a great mod, and a gift to the community :-) Didn't mean to mis-represent your mod. A question - it's not that you have to be blue to use your mod is it ? - Just that only "Blue" units will act as JTAC. Cheers.
Griffin Posted January 3, 2013 Posted January 3, 2013 Also check out this great guide! There's a link to PDF in the end with working pictures. "This document covers the sharing of data in the Kamov Ka-50 with a focus on the transmission and reception from the A-10C." http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=86752&highlight=ka-50+a-10c+data

That is because of three reasons: - NATO.lua contains the codes for JTAC, as opposed to USSR.lua - NATO units have the FAC waypoint tasks enabled in the ME. - Something else I havent figured out yet I'm trying to figure out how to make a USSR coalition use JTAC. It's not as simple as copy and paste. 'Frett'

Yep, that's what I thought (Actually it was more of a rhetorical question for people that hadn't read your thread, but thanks for the answer :) ) Cheers.
