Manny Posted November 26, 2005 Posted November 26, 2005 This is not discussed in the manual. Can someone provide information regarding the number below CYMMA (assuming total fuel on board) and the series of lights to the left. I have tanks on this bird on my Anti-Radiation run and I have KP, II, and I illuminated? Are they dry? Time to Jett em?
britgliderpilot Posted November 26, 2005 Posted November 26, 2005 Wait . . . . I'm pretty sure the tanks are discussed in the manual, somewhere. I being illuminated means one set of pylons is dry, and II being illuminated means another set is dry. If both I and II are illuminated, your external tanks are empty. Will check the manual. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v121/britgliderpilot/BS2Britgliderpilot-1.jpg
britgliderpilot Posted November 26, 2005 Posted November 26, 2005 Nope, doesn't appear to be in the manual. If you haven't installed the v1.11 patch, Ironhand's Su25T Orientation training track will tell you a whole heap of useful stuff about the Su25T, including the meaning of the tank lights. If you have installed the v1.11 patch, look at rolling back to v1.1 for as long as it takes to watch the track - it's worth it for what you'll learn :) (in case you're wondering, no, tracks don't play back correctly between versions) 1 http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v121/britgliderpilot/BS2Britgliderpilot-1.jpg
504 Wolverine Posted November 26, 2005 Posted November 26, 2005 The total internal fuel carried on the 25T is just over 3700 but this cannot be fully topped up when a full weapons load with 2/4 tanks are used. I did a lot of practicing with tanks the past few weeks and it seems that if you drop around 2900 then no fuel is wasted. Dropping at 3000 you still loose a few, 30-50. [/url]
Ironhand Posted November 26, 2005 Posted November 26, 2005 Beyond bgp's description of the inner "I' and outer "II" external tanks, KP identifies the internal wing tanks, 3/4 are the 3rd and 4th fuel tanks, ‘U’ (Shche) is the central fuselage tank and, finally, ‘0.6’ signifies Emergency Fuel Quantity. A dark symbol means the tank is full. A lit symbol signifies empty. When "0.6" is lit, you'd better be inches away from touching down. :) So, to answer your question, your external tanks and internal wing tanks are dry. Edit: BTW, the last time I looked, the Su-25T Orientation tutorial played fine with V1.11. You'll find it on the "Flight Basics" page.
