Warthog in A-10C help?

Hey gang,

Ok so I have been going through ramp start training for a while, have gotten to where I can cold start and get in the air consistently.

So I thought I would go back and review the HOTAS fundamentals training session, I had done it previously but has been a while, before moving on to navigation.

 

Now suddenly, my HOTAS slew control does not seem to be responding in the sim. It certainly used to, as I have done this training session before.

 

I took a look in controller options, and see a couple of listings:

Under HOTAS category, it lists slew commands like left, right , up , and down. There is nothing in the boxes there under my Warthog throttle.

Then, under AXIS category, it shows HOTAS slew horizontal, and slew vertical - again, there is nothing listed in the box under my Warthog stick.

 

I am assuming, there should be, and most likely for the slew on my Warthog stick it should be listed under the AXIS category?

I wonder why I lost this, and wonder if I am going to find others missing as well... The only thing I have done recently, is save my controls with a custom name, for when the update comes out in case I lose my controls...

Ok I think I got it, I just went back into controls and for HOTAS slew under axis, clicked on default - it is now working as it should.

Hoping that is the only one that got lost on me, curious as to why but sure I will probably never know.

I noticed that for some random reason, DCS assigns key commands and axis from the stick to the throttle and vice versa. The old flip...or just random erratic re assignments which made me annoyed and having re do all my flight profiles again. What I found best is to use the exact same USB ports for the approporate controller and so far the craziness doesn't happen.

Thanks for the helpful advice, I actually never unplug my Warthog setup so hopefully that won't happen. Again not sure why I lost the slew, just hoping that is all I lost - so far seems to be the only thing.
