firefly2442 Posted January 7, 2013 Posted January 7, 2013 I noticed that when landing and blowing a wheel on the landing, calling the base crew to repair did not fix the wheel. I assume they only fix physical damage to the structure of the plane. Rearm worked fine.
Hamblue Posted January 7, 2013 Posted January 7, 2013 You have to shut down both engines after starting the APU/gen before starting the repair. If you don't see the countdown timer for repair it didn't take. I also open the canopy. Asus Sabertooth P67 Motherboard 2600k CPU, 16 gig DDR3, 1600. Samsung 830, 256 gig hard drive, GTX780 Video Card, Warthog Hotas, Razer Mamba mouse. Saitek Combat Rudder Pedals. Trackir 5, Verizon FIOS 25Meg Up/Down
ilikepie Posted January 7, 2013 Posted January 7, 2013 or ask for ground power and shut down engines then ask for repair Action After Contemplation
ApoNOOB Posted January 7, 2013 Posted January 7, 2013 To clarify, if you don't have power you will lose the alignment - which would take even longer than repairing. :) I sometimes had issues like, you repair and something still doesn't want to work. Most times I had this with engines or APU's. Of course with the engine you first try ~30secs in the motor position to check if its flooded with fuel. But with the APU I have run in a wall. Is this a "me thing" (I can't replicate it, most of the times it works like it is supposed to) or can someone enlighten me what this could be? Sadly I never had the presence of mind to save a track or make video. :/ I hope you don't mind me derailing the topic a bit here... *cough*
