Rubberduck Posted January 8, 2013 Posted January 8, 2013 Was trying, and mostly failing to get the MFD's on my second screen to be the correct size to mount my Cougars onto the screen. I am fine with the positioning and changing the LUA, my LUA is working fine outputting the MFD's to my second screen, it's just the sizing for the cougars I am now having trouble with. I have made up a bracket to fix the cougars but I can't seem to get the image to match. It's either too big or small and the button labels don't quite match. Am I right in thinking that the number of pixels needed to fill the cougar is dependant on screen resolution? Therefore there is no definitive answer as it will vary from screen to screen? I have seen various posts, quoting number as diverse as 520x520 down to 480x480. Would I be right in thinking that the best way to map them and change the figures in my LUA would be to use PixelWindowApp ? AhSoul Posted January 8, 2013 Posted January 8, 2013 Surely it's going to depend on the resolution you're running plus the physical size of your monitor, as the Cougars are fixed in size? (I'm getting my Cougars this week so will be doing the same thing) I'm assuming I'm going to just have to use trial and error until it looks right..... [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Soul's pit thread
winz Posted January 8, 2013 Posted January 8, 2013 The dimensions in pixels will vary with resolution and monitor pixel density (400pixels on 24'' full hd monitor will not be the same size as 400pixels on a full HD 50'' TV screen). What you can do is divide your horizontal/vertical resolution with width/height of the display area of your monitor. You will get how many pixel are in each cm (or inch) of your display. Multiple this number by width/height of the cougar MFD and you'll get the desired pixel resolution. 2 The Valley A-10C Version Revanche for FC 3

See Winz's answer below when you need to do it :) The dimensions in pixels will vary with resolution and monitor pixel density (400pixels on 24'' full hd monitor will not be the same size as 400pixels on a full HD 50'' TV screen). Thank you Winz, very helpful, was thinking of all sorts of ways of doing it last night, all far toooo complicated, simplify, simplify lol  Rep coming your way :) Best Regards Nigel AKA Rubberduck My Dad- Always check for paper before sitting down....:music_whistling: Win7 64bBit,Intel® Core i7x4-3820 (3.6GHz), ASUS® SABERTOOTH X79, INTEL CERTIFIED LIQUID COOLING 16GB DDR3 2400MHz, NVIDIA GeFORCE GTX 680 4GB, 240GB INTEL® 520 SERIES SSD, 2TB WD CAVIAR BLACK BLU-RAY ROM DRIVE, CORSAIR 750W ENTHUSIAST SERIES, AeroCool Touch 2000 LCD Touch Screen 4 Fan Controller Creative Sound Blaster® X-Fi™ Xtreme Audio, Hotas WH, Saitek Pro-Flight Pedals & Cougar MFD's
