Invisibull Posted January 13, 2013 Posted January 13, 2013 Once upon a time there was a mod that removed all the flickering/dancing haze from the horizon called "NoCloudShadows." The file it modified was cloudshadow.tga, which no longer exists in DCS World as far as i can tell. Is there any other way to address this issue? From 10k the horizon really looks horrible. Madone Posted January 13, 2013 Posted January 13, 2013 Could you post a screenshot of it please? I was having some weird cloud shadows as well. BigfootMSR Posted January 14, 2013 Posted January 14, 2013 Mustang created a mod to do just that, but I recall something about the latest version of World has broken it. Try doing a search for PeterP's smaller sun mod. It was combined with it. Invisibull Posted January 14, 2013 Author Posted January 14, 2013 That package of modifications has nothing at all to do with my issue. To reiterate - I'm suffering from an unblended, flickering, unnaturally horrible looking horizon once i get up around 10,000 feet. I'm trying to find a way to disable the cloud shadows as the mod which dealt with this is no longer relevant. i9 9900k - GTX 2080 Ti - MSI Z87 GD65 Mobo - 64GB HyperX Predator RGB DDR4 3200MHz - Win10 64 bit - TM Warthog w FSSB R3 mod - TrackIr 5.
Rusty_M Posted January 14, 2013 Posted January 14, 2013 Cloud shadows were disabled as a whole IIRC because of the flickering they caused on sloped terrain. The world is going mad. Me? I'm doing fine! http://www.twitch.tv/rusty_the_robot https://www.youtube.com/user/RustyRobotGaming
