That looks like a good mic. Thanks, I didn't even know it existed!

I don't like anything that's shiny unless it's metal, so I'm definitely not a fan of Beats. And from all the researching I've done the past few days, Beats are cheaply made and I've seen videos od the plastic headband snapping. I have my heart set on Grado Sr60i and I hope, one of these days, to get an Ultrasone HFI 580 for watching movies and playing DCS.

I can't believe I'm already addicted to reading Head Fi site. WTF?

ED have been taking my money since 1995. :P

And just in case you buy some nice high quality headphones but want a good mic, I suggest: http://www.modmic.com/

It's really great. Received mine about a week ago and love it. Frees you up to any headphones out there and not limit yourself to headsets.

Thanks for the tip - I've got AKG 270 professional studio headphones lying around, so I was looking for simple mic solution - this looks like it!

Thanks for that, been toying with the idea of a nice set of Seinnheiser 650's for my entertainment needs, but could not find a good mike combo for it.

This looks like a winner.

From my experience (Ex WoW HL officer, current Eve officer), you'd be better with a USB headset (in case of headphones obviously)

Pros :

- No signal loss (unless you plug a 10m extender)

- front USB connectors on PC towers

- Works natively on Macintosh (i remind you Macs has Line-In, that's not unpowered "Low-quality" Mic-In. Never say you will never buy a Mac. Sometimes you simply don't have that choice)

Cons :

- Freaking overpriced

- Does not plug on your shiny iPhone 5 or other iDevices

In my case, i've bought Creative USB fatal1ty a long time ago. It's not the best out there now (made for rather small ears), but i didn't had very much alternatives back in those days.
