testing101 Posted January 17, 2013 Posted January 17, 2013 hello fellas , i have being playing DCS for the last 6 month. I have tired countless HOSTING methods to which i have found on other threads for the last months to no success: here they are.:book: UPNP : universal plug and play. PORT FORWARDING. DMZ. FIREWALL OFF. ANTIVIRUS OFF. Even with all of this at the same time i was never able to get my server on the MP LIST.( had friend checking) i figured i would ask for some suggestion before i give up the dream of hosting

Gecko6 Posted January 17, 2013 Posted January 17, 2013 You are not alone. I myself cannot host for the life of me. i have done everything you listed. Then there are the ones that just do it with out any problems. I will be watching this thread.
Quirkitized Posted January 17, 2013 Posted January 17, 2013 are you making sure it's an internet server and not lan? i know it's obvious, but never know...
NBEagle Posted January 17, 2013 Posted January 17, 2013 Did you turn off the firewall service, or just in the system settings? Did you try to ping each other with the ping promt? http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc737478%28v=ws.10%29.aspx
testing101 Posted January 17, 2013 Author Posted January 17, 2013 hello fellas , finally found a way around it : GET HAMACHI. yep that's it.:drunk: :pilotfly:
Ali Fish Posted January 17, 2013 Posted January 17, 2013 Not that comment will help! it wont, i know. Back when blackshark first came out i had this issue. it was commented by a russian ED tester that there was an inferior aspect to how it was coded. whilst it wasnt specific enough for me to describe, basicly my "router" wasnt too compatable with how the networking was coded. possibly this might be still an issue, which was resolved as stated with the release of a10. Since then i have been able to host ok. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
