Hi, I have 2 open support tickets that have not even been looked at in 8 days. I see that others in other forums are complaining about the same lack of response to their trouble tickets. One guy has been waiting for a month! Yikes!

I know everyone is busy, but to ignore customers like this is not right.

Can anyone tell me what I need to do to get my trouble tickets answered? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

A) you have a consumer profile/key related problem

= open a support ticket and wait. (like you did already)

B) you have a problem to run your software how you would like to:

1. : Read the ReadMe in :

...\Eagle Dynamics\DCS World\DCS BS2 ReadMe en.txt

and also this Thread: Sticky: TROUBLESHOOTING - Help us helping you.

If this doesn't help:

2.a): open a support ticket and wait. (like you did already)

2.b): if All above doesn't help you at all,

post a thread in the appropriate forum section and add all useful/possible info about the subject.

This can be your trouble ticket number, a detailed information what isn't working, a DXDiag.txt , ...and so on.

So others are able to help you out without guessing.

...and you can always also use the search-function of this forum to get info that isn't listed in my points above.

EDIT:

Welcome ! :)

Hi, sorry to hear that you have been waiting a long time, hBarOmbega.

Can you please post or PM your ticket number to me? I can then advice and possibly escalate the ticket.

Hello EtherealN, Thanks for your prompt reply and offer to help, I appreciate it very much! I need ticket 18770 responded to please, there is also 18672 but that can be closed.

Basically, I own 2 hard copies of LOMAC (don't ask me why, I guess I forgot that I bought it already once before) but have not been able to locate any of my serial numbers on the box, CD or anywhere. I had to install a replacement disk, more RAM and 64-bit OS.

I am trying to get FC3 working, but the game is asking for a serial number, which from what I have been able to gather is the Lock on serial, which I don't have anymore. Side note, why not just ask for FC2 serial since it required the LOMAC serial so we can lay LOMAC to rest??? Just an idea).

Anywhoooo, I found a post that had the same LOMAC serial problem... the answer was...

"our serial is still to be found at http://lockon.co.uk/ where you DLed your FC version. Log in and you can find your serial again.

OK, so when I went there it shows the transaction number, date, amount BUT NO SERIAL NUMBER. Why don't the serial numbers show up? I just need my serial number for LOMAC, that is all, how do I get it if support refuses to answer support tickets?

Thanks,

You will not find it as it does not exist. LOMAC has no DRM and as a consequence no serial.

You gather incorrect. You need to enter the FC3 serial and not the LOMAC serial - as I said above, there is no LOMAC serial. When you purchased the FC3 module you got a serial after said purchase - that is the one you need to enter.

Hi 159th_Viper, thanks for the quick reply and clarification. So it is not a free upgrade path from FC2 or LOMAC, but yet, an obsolete, unsupported LOMAC product is required for FC3?

"Lock On: Flaming Cliffs 3 will require an installation of Lock On: Modern Air Combat."

Why?

Why not require FC2 and close the book on LOMAC? Or better yet, why not make FC3 a standalone install product since you are asking people to shell out cash for what would otherwise bee a free upgrade from FC3? So you have to buy LOMAC (if you can find it) and then buy the FC3 to get that serial? So we have to buy it twice ?

Honestly, the whole thing is so convoluted and confusing and it would have been a good idea to at least provide this important information on the product page to avoid confusion and frustration; If things are not spelled out it becomes a pain to figure out and I am easily confused. ;p

Thanks for the clarification, I just don't see the value in buying FC3 as it seems like there is not enough differentiation between it and FC2 to justify doling out more cash. At least if the F-15 had a workable 3D cockpit like in A-10C then it might be worthwhile, otherwise, why bother?

Thanks for getting me my answers, I appreciate the feedback and prompt replies. Close the support line, it is useless....

Why?

Contractual obligations to Ubisoft - no way around it unfortunately.

hBarOmega,

Did you figure out the matter in ticket 18672?

Just in case - the size difference between the A-10C files on your disc and the one you found on the site is due to the latter being a DCS World module, whereas the version on the disc (most likely version 1.1.0.7) is a stand-alone application. So to get a current version of DCS A-10C working:

Download and install:

http://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/index.php?ProductId=21&end_pos=137&scr=product&lang=en

Then download and install:

http://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/index.php?scr=product&ProductId=8&end_pos=136&lang=en

The serial number from your disc should work fine for this.
