Hi Everybody, new guy here. I am an FSX "veteran", mostly F18C and the VRS F18E.

I am very impressed about DCS and the A-10C that I just started learning.

Being a programmer I like to tweak my sim and I have started in DCS with Helios, just some gauges on a 2nd monitor for now.

I would like to add a speed brake position and the trim for pitch.

Problem is that so far I could not find from where to read these. Also it seems that there is no indicator in the cockpit, which is a bit weird... The flight manual for A-10C keeps mentioning "speed brakes at 40%" but how do you do that without an indicator in the cockpit?

So far I go by ear, the sound the speed brakes make :pilotfly:

Any of the DCS/LUA wizards willing to help please?

Happy Flying! :)

There are no instruments for either. Trim is constantly changing anyway.

As for the speed brakes...to check their setting you look over your left shoulder at the wing. ;)

Hey ;)

Yes, there is no indicator for the speed Brake. I have TrackIR and I just look to the left/right wing while i extend the speed brake, and afaik real Hog Pilots do the same... So, if you want to fly as real as possible... let it be like it is ;)

edit/: too late... :D

Thank you guys.

The data is definitely there because the speed brakes and the trim are fully modeled.

But I guess it is not worth digging.

And if you guesstimate the percentage, it's useful to know that you only get 100% speedbrakes when you have weight on the wheels. So, if you are airborne, you won't get full 100% speedbrakes.
