Maachine Posted January 23, 2013 Author Posted January 23, 2013 thank you. having a rough time getting the one i found previously working right. for some reason it wont let me assign axis. after loading that profile. you can load profiles from any file location right?
Maachine Posted January 23, 2013 Author Posted January 23, 2013 none of those profiles work, with or without the SST software for the x-52
Maachine Posted January 23, 2013 Author Posted January 23, 2013 (edited) ya so after messing around, trying to figure this out, still no clue as to what i need to do. any help would be great. heres what i've done installed drivers and SST software. put proper .pr0 file in the proper folder location. load profile into SST. i have nothing in game. no controls, nothing from the joystick. some profiles come with a .lau file that i thought should be loaded under joystick profiles? but all it shows me is keyboard commands after loading it, not joystick buttons. what i am not getting is how the SST software communicates with the game so it knows what buttons are what? what am i missing here? Are you activating your profile before launching DCS? In the system tray(in the lower right where the clock is) you should have an icon of the throttle of the X52. If you right click it and go to the top you should see the names of your profiles. Select one and the throttle icon will now have a green box behind it and your MFD on your throttle should indicate the name of the profile being used. Hope that helps. i7-8700k 3.70mhz|64GB DDR4 G.SKILL Ripjaw V 3200|ASUS ROG STRIX GeForce RTX 2080 8G GDDR6|AsRockZ390 Extreme4|2 Samsung 870QVO 1TB, 1 Samsung 860 QVO 1TB, 1 Samsung 860EVO 500GB|Corsair 750D|Corsair H-100i|Corsair AX750|LG 34GN850-B|Acer UT241Y|TM Cougar MFDs| Buddyfox UFC|TM Warthog HOTAS(Modified Spring/Slew Control Stick, Upgraded PCB, Stick Extension)|Saitek Combat Pedals|Corsair Nightsword|Corsair K70|TrackIR5|Custom A-10C Panels|
Maachine Posted January 23, 2013 Author Posted January 23, 2013 ya, got all that. i think i'm having a software issue. probably need to remove the driver and reinstall everything for the joystick. some of the SST software isnt working properly i found.
lxsapper Posted January 23, 2013 Posted January 23, 2013 I Used to own a x52 but it's been a while. Wich version of the software are you using the ones that came with the stick or the new drivers and software? they are not compatible! You have to make sure the profile is for the software version you are using. The software works by emmulating keypresses, so it's the same as pressing those keys on your keyboard. The axis you have to assign in the simulator itself.
