Most of the time we are bombing the crap out of some guy,

Yeah, some civilian guy. :icon_neut If there was ever a need for US to hit something other than bridges and hospitals, it definitly would need some better gear.

And if you'r wondering why F15 was so good in acheaving air supp so far, just create a mission in lomac with about 20 of them, put your self in a 29 and try to fly with just EOS (becouse u'r radar failed), no awacs support. This for instance was what it whent against here in Serbia.

If it was ever to go against a bunch of well maintained Flankers supported by S-400 from below and (mig) 25's droping their "presents" from above, it would be a "slightly" different story.

Bull.

Also bull. By Serb pilot accounts, some of them managed to fire back. However, F-15C is FAR more advanced than the Export 29A they have, and so are the US missiles ... it is simply no contest, period.

You see a lot of S400's around? Yes, the story would have been slight different. But only slightly, and with very good reasons.

K, got it, you don't like the F-15 and you're not particularly fond of the Americans either. Now, go post something that is not provocative and actually has something to do with the thread topic.

Helluva first post though.

Some of them... actually, in the first night, one of them, after avoiding 3 of thoes so far more advanced missiles fired one back but was hit from behind. Others were also hit in 10:1 situations or landed back with broken radars, datalinks, weapon guidance systems, SPO's and radios. This was simply a result of low maintainance resulting from lack of funding which is a political error haveing nothing to do with aircraft design.

Btw, Serbian 29's were not export versions.

If mig pilot ever gets three of thoes periods in a line, and there are less than 30 of thoes lines than its very much a contest ;)

sorry, but the original question was:

my favourite plane. do you like him?

;)

Sorry if you think its provocative, but it's just my 2 cents... and if you mean about the civilian thing, what is more provocative: talking about it or doing it.

(note the period, it's retorical q, I don't expect an answer (here))

So much the better.

... Three periods in a line? What's that? They're PMSing all the sudden? O.o

If you're saying 'dodged 3 missiles in a row' then ... sorry, I call bull again. Most of the kills were single-shot, including the first ever double-kill via TWS, in which by the way one of the mig pilots allegedly fired back.

You may have not noticed, but those questions spark conversations which get threads locked. Don't do it.

@An: nottin, I just sayed that I wasn't off topic, becouse the topic was about "do you like F-15's", and I just sayed "no" in a bit longer form :)

And if you're wondering if MiG-29 is my favorite airplane, it's not.... it's the old Soko Galeb G2 :)

And I also like the F-16 a bit :)
