I have both 1.1.1.1 and 1.2.2.7570_69 but when I start a flight, I feel I'm very close to the center console and HUD, that I'm literally bumping heads. This was not what I experienced and liked in 1.1.1.1. Using trackIR4.

My question is, (and I know PeterP will pop in and jawdrop all of us) how to get the A-10C default head position in cockpit from 1.1.1.1 to 1.2.2 ?

Thanks and sorry but 1.1.1.1 I never had this problem.

If I have to describe it, I'd say its a triangle with apex at seat and base at center console. In 1.1.1.1 it is a square. Put triangle and square on top of each other and you miss the forward left and right.

Fat T is above, thin T is below. Long T is faster, Short T is slower. Open triangle is AWACS, closed triangle is your own sensors. Double dash is friendly, Single dash is enemy. Circle is friendly. Strobe is jammer. Strobe to dash is under 35 km. HDD is 7 times range key. Radar to 160 km, IRST to 10 km. Stay low, but never slow.

Try adjusting these values found in DCS World\Config\View\SnapViewsDefault.lua

Most likely it's x-trans and maybe FOV you'll want to fiddle with.

Just in case you are not aware, use Notepad++ and not Windows notepad to make the edits, and remember backups ;)

--A10C

Snap[11][13] = {}

Snap[11][13]["viewAngle"] = 60 -- default: 75.0 (FOV in degrees)

Snap[11][13]["x_trans"] = 0.26 -- default: 0.36 (Forwards/Backwards)

Snap[11][13]["hAngle"] = 0 -- default: 0 (Tilt left/right)

Snap[11][13]["y_trans"] = -0.018 -- default: 0.0413368055555555564 (Up/Down)

Snap[11][13]["rollAngle"] = 0 -- default: 0 (roll left/right)

Snap[11][13]["vAngle"] = -2 -- default: -23 (+ Tilt up/- down)

Snap[11][13]["z_trans"] = 0 -- default: 0 (left/right)

well,

it is much easier by using this instruction':

peter, this applies to trackIR? I don't use snap views.

What you calling "Default View" is a snap-view.

kp5 is snap [11][13] = Cockpit View = Default view.

So: When you use this instruction you can adjust your view "on the fly" . and you wont need to jump between the editor and reloading DCS.

Tip: pause TrackIR while editing the view - so you don't mess up the centreline.

Maybe you want to use this mod too- as it don't let you feel as your eyes are glued to the dashboard when looking to the sides.
