darkstarRAF Posted December 3, 2005 Posted December 3, 2005 About opensource sim - look at FlightGear (http://www.flightgear.org). of course there's no AI and no game play - it just it is - just flight sim, nothing less, nothing more... With best regards, Albert R. Valiev ---- Oculus Rift S, i7-8700, RTX-2070, 32Gb RAM, M2 SSD (X4 PCI-E mode).
Bungle_uk Posted December 3, 2005 Posted December 3, 2005 I have sfp1 and I must admit, i do quite like it. I think it has a lot of potential. It is like many have said a "lite" sim so dont expect complex systems. It is currently one of the few sims where I can fight an f-14. It is also about the only combat sim with the harrier to have true thrust vectoring. There have recently been some good third party cvn addons too (WOV) has them already but sfp1 didnt. Multiplayer hasnt really took off yet but again I am hoping this area will change. The problem is that due to the nature of how easily it is modded with extra aircraft etc.. All clients must have EXACTLY the same aircraft as the host. This is a bit of a fuss to sort out but not impossible.
