Re-install due to new hardware, need some help on locating saved files...

Hi all,

I have had to re install due to new hardware upgrades and am wondering where I can find my custom weapon load outs I created in my "other" version so that I can import them to my new install.

Before I re-installed, I backed up my entire hard drive to a spare drive.

Thanks in advance

Try this directory : Your drive\DCS World\Mods\aircrafts\A-10C\Input\A-10C\joystick

Will have a look later , seems a weird place to keep the weapon load outs I created in the Mission Editor.

Thanks. Will report back.

C:/Users/'your pc name"/Saved Games/... there you will find DCS folders that include the files you need. Save them all... after the reinstall, Paste them over the 'new' ones in "Saved Games".

See this thread about weapon loadouts. It should help locate them since they are not in your saved game folders or the joystick folder.

From the above thread:

"There are two unitPayloads.lua files, one that is STATIC located in your DCS installation folder (..\dcs a-10c warthog\MissionEditor\data\scripts), and one that is DYNAMIC - meaning it changes - in your windows application files according to your user (C:\Users\<user>\Saved Games\DCS Warthog\MissionEditor)."

Great pointer cichlidfan. TWO separate places with different .luas.

Thanks for that, found the file I needed.

unitpayloads.lua found in Users>pcname>SavedGames>DCS>MissionEditor

This is the one that stores the player created loadouts.

Thanks again all. Problem Solved
