Wow... check out "airmaint" :o

Can't be real can it... looks a bit odd at the bottom with the water.

Also, check "cockpit", where did the second guy go?

I'm also going to be on 'no survivors' in the "helishitrotors" movie :(

Ok this one: Air-ground05.jpg

....is a little embarrasing :icon_redf .

Cheers,

There's also a pic of a Mi-26 having a Chinook hanging under it like that. And for some, yet unclear reasons, that pic isn't very popular.... :p

It's my personal favourite:

:D :D :D :D :D :D lol!

but surely it's because I used to serve as airforce forecaster/observer in METEO OFFICE and it somehow reminds me how retarded some minority of crews were when it came to knowledge about weather and the way I had to explain them everything... lol!

I was somewhere in Africa, starting my B1900D next to an Mi26 only doing an engine run for a systems check. With just a small amount of power he blew every piece of paper/sand/garbage all over the show, and also blew the train of baggage carts at me. Luckily our ground handler managed to stop them before they hit us (difficult, as they were quite heavy), but we ingested some plastic bags etc. Its a big and powerful machine. The Russkies there quoted some huge figures for max sling loads, and each engine has a huge power rating. He could have waited for me to leave before running that beast up!

Some of those are a little disturbing, but most of them are pretty funny. I wish I had gotten a photo of the G-5 at APA that got towed over a storm drain. It was apparently a rookie driving the tug. He saw that he wasn't going to be able to maneuver the G-5s right main around the storm drain grate, so he stopped the tug with all wheels still firmly on the concrete, parked it and went to get help from a more experienced aircraft handler. One of the "more experienced" guys saw the tug sitting there, unattended, and decided to go finish moving the aircraft himself. He proceeded to tow the G-5, so that its right main gear rolled right onto the storm drain grate. The grate collapsed, and the right main fell into the storm drain, with the right wing tip slamming into the concrete. Heh...well, on the bright side...it was only a $5-million mistake. :icon_jook
