Exit button in game will not let me out

In missions when done..... I hit ESC which brings up the dialouge box to exit. When I hit the exit the button it will not take! The dialouge box shows a "game paused" in a yellow statement on the top... so I hit PAUSE/BREAK which continues the game but the dialouge box remains on top of the now running game. I hit ESC again to exit and the same results as before the exit button will not take. Please advise

when I hit ctrl + esc I go to desktop...once in desktop I go back into game then button will work.

I bet you accidently re-mapped the keycommands.

Go to options/controls menu, select the P-51 module, select 'all' (next to the module slot).

Then press your 'Esc' key. It should be mapped to 'exit mission'.

 

Ctrl+Esc is an Windows keycommand (start menu).

If everything fails, locate the DCS folder in your User folder.

C:\user\saved games\dcs\config\input\

choose the P-51 folder and delete it (or put it on the desktop as a backup).

When you restart the Sim, DCS will create a new P-51 config file.

This should sort out any keyboard mapping problems.
