Escape key, Alt+Tab not responding

I've not flown for a wee while, but when I jumped in MP 2 weeks ago, I found I couldn't Escape out to server lobby to select a new slot. Alt Tab did not work either, unless there was an active application running, like Task manager. It would not Alt tab to Desktop.

 

In Options, I have unchecked "Full Screen" with same result.

 

This occurred in 1.2.2 and also manifests in 1.2.3 as well. Auto update applied, no manual update.

 

Analogue inputs to a/c work but when tested on Mustang, trigger didn't work as expected.

 

I've tried to find my \..Saved Games\DCS folder to find my error logs, but it doesn't seem to exist. No config/saves folders exist outside of program directory, unlike what's shown in Troubleshooting tips thread.

 

I think I may have to re-install, but I'd like to get some feedback on this problem before I do.

Settings folder:

 

C:\Users\[Winusername]\Saved Games\DCS\Logs

 

 

Is your Windows running as administrator? Have you concidered turning off your AV and check firewall. Dont forget about the 2010 C++ installation that could be farting secretly in the corner. When DCS isnt automaticaly generating a settingsfolder when you set something in the single player, itś most likely being blocked by something else on your machine.

 

You can find the needed C++ in C:\DCS World\distr\......

There are 2 icons you can use to enter MP. One is the white DCS World icon and the other is the green MP icon. If I use the green one ATL/TAB doesn't work. If I use the white one it does.

OK< after a complete re-install of everything, I have since discovered a modifier I was using to quick UFC select up and down was sticking for some reason. This seems to carry across complete restarts of the computer, and hence DCS:W.

Incidentally, the moddifier was left throttle button on TM WH. I would assign it as a modifier and together with DMS up and down, would give UFC Select U/D.

 

Talk about a pain the arse to find it....
