Looking for Panels (CMSP, CautionPanel, CDU)

Hi!

As above, i am looking for some "real" panels. I have most of the Panels on Touchscreens, but i would like to have at least these three in real.

Best would be "plug and play"... :music_whistling:

Hoping to get some positive reply or pm's.

BUT !!! Read the last threads carefully !!

Linden has a hard time right now, but better days will come and maybe a chance to get great panels. Not plug n play .. but great.

Maybe here comes also more .. great panels :

For the A-10 there are no commercial panels out, from time to time a forumsmember makes some panels and sell them.

Thanks TomDK,

i am/was already in contact with linden and i know the troubles...

Thats why i opened this thread, cause i dont want to annoy others or maybe just to find someone who is willing to sell his used parts or would be able to build me some...

- i'm not good in that

And just to confirm, i'm not looking for real "REAL" A10 panels...

Thanks guys!

That's good 'cause the real "REAL" ones are a long way from Plug-n-Play! :D

So you guys are looking for plug and play panels. Here are a few previous sale points to bring in to perspective the possible cost for these items.

The system switches in the CMSP (EWMU) are very expensive along with the Qsram display?

When Gadroc built his units IFIRC they cost in the $250.00 range and he did not even pay for his assembly time. He did use Mil spec three possition switches and a 2x16 LED display i think .

The caution Panel with out any lights or electronic sold for around $100.00

CDUs Light plate and buttons were sold for $160.00 in the past.with out any back lighting bacl plate or LCD system.

Plug and play CDUs in the civilian 747 cockpit market are price from $600 to $1000.00 aprox.

Incorporating PCB with back lighting lcd and plug and play features USB

. I think your looking at $300.00 for a caution panel and up for other panels is a reasonably price estimate.

Currently PCB for F-16 cockpits are selling in the $285.00 to $389.00 each with out rotaries or switches approximately. This is with a USB control system sold separtly 3 for the cockpit front left and right for $200.00 each aprox.

So then what is an acceptably level of realism and price?

As I have said these price are representative of the market and may or may not be possible or realistic do to the limited amount of A-10C cockpit builders in the market place. Less than 20 as far as I know.

I have all three of these panels and can make replicas with an investment in the equipment. I would need to collaborate with some one with an electronic back ground to provide stable and cost effecting USB connection. all of these thing cost if enuff people ordered units i ma sure some thing could be worked out

CNCs and Laser engravers are great but they can't do squat with out a precise set of plans.

So once again no real interest?

i don't care about the price... i know that no one would donate me. i know what things cost. and i am willing to pay (if the costs are tolerable...)

so, if someone would like to sell its cautionpanel, just call me

So your interested in replica panels?

For the investment in tools I would need to make ( I am not located near one of the Hobby clubs with CNC routers and Laser engravers) There needs to be some more interest, All of the panels could be made By replicating actual parts. The Main instrument panel has been reversed engineered from my A_10A MIP and all of the real instruments I have. The MFCDS would be made form the spec. No some people say who cares then after every one has purchased their items coms out with all kinds of disclaimers this is my frist time i am not a professional ( when you decide to make some thing for payment guess what ?) You are. The point being The point being I see no reason to make or sell some thing you guys can not fit together with real parts.

I am not interested in sell my real caution panel at this time but may have an extra real panel or two for sale shortly
