boquinauer Posted March 14, 2013 Posted March 14, 2013 Hi, I've been told that many russian aircraft like the Su25T didn't have the hability to refuel in flight because the russians had a hole different strategy for them. Basically they were designed to land on unprepared runways like roads and they were suposed to land on a road and some vehicles over there would refuel and rearm them. Many PV countries use to do those landing and refueling/rearming operations on roads/highways during their training and they still do. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TC6mE5bNwI8 My request is if we could do this in DCS-W since It would open a wide range of posibilities and strategies during the mision editing. My scuadron and I have done some trials doing landings on highways with the Su25T, and with a little bit of training they are farely feasible. With the new 1.2.3 version, we knew that we coul rearm ground vehicles just by puting some trucks close enough to them. We tried to do the same with airplanes with no result. We even placed a FARP next to the road to se if the airplane coul be refueled/rearmed like helicopters. But again, nothing happened. Would it be possible for future versions to have this fixe? So by adding a FARP or some trucks next to a road we could use this as an unprepared runway to refuel and rearm the russian aircraft. Thanks in advance
