Thick8 Posted March 19, 2013 Posted March 19, 2013 I have 3 39" monitors for my main screen and would like to have a gauge screen. I have 3 widescreen monitors to choose from, 16", 20", 25.5", which one would be best to use for the cougar MFD's and gauges? Do I need Helios to accomplish the task? Does anyone have an existing config they would be willing to share? cichlidfan Posted March 19, 2013 Posted March 19, 2013 (edited) Helios is definitely needed to do this. Size wise it would depend on exactly what you want to end up with but I us a 22 myself. Helios and some good profiles can be found here. http://www.gadrocsworkshop.com/ EDIT: Regarding those monitors... Most of the profiles that I have seen are based on 1920x1080 monitor. It will be easiest to use an existing profile if the monitor resolution matches what the profile was created for. Size is less of an issue but bigger is likely to be better from the choices you have. agrasyuk Posted March 19, 2013 Posted March 19, 2013 Stated with 19" 1280x1024 and it was to small. I think the 1080 23" is very close to ideal size as I can now place almost entire MIP on it. Helios listens to incoming data packets from DCS and can display it in form of gauges . it is the prime solution for this task. Site mentioned above cichlidfan is indeed the best (and the only?) resource for sample profiles. Good luck! Post results. Anton. My pit build thread . Simple and cheap UFC project
