SU-27 HUD

I searched the forums and looked through the manual and I think I am missing something.

 

I made a practice mission for myself to learn how to use the SU-27's radar and targeting system.

 

After watching the video tutorial I jumped on this mission and off I went. Pushed 2, then I, and D and looked at my HUD and it was nothing like I see in the Tutorial. The only time I got the HUD to look close to it was when I pushed 4.

 

Am I missing something, is there a switch I should throw to turn something on so the HUD does as it is supposed to? I thought the HUD would allow me to see the missiles I had selected, but it doesn't. Plus the targeting system is no where near what it looks like in the tutorial, so what am I doing wrong?

 

I do think there is something I am missing as the lower left corner of the HUD says, Scan....

I would suggest reading the manuals, IIRC the training missions were imported from FC2, and some things have changed.

Got it sorted out, thanks for the help.

 

The tutorials are from FC2(?) so there is a difference, but once I sorted it out and tried again, it worked.

 

Now just to work my way through all the radar modes.
