Yeah I was wondering that after watching a few more videos but he sure knows his a10 stuff and does missions just like a pilot. What is a "Weapons Troop" excatly?

LOL MANY a bar fight has started over this very question...I'll try to answer...

A WEAPONS troop is the person who loads weapons ON an aircraft prior to flight...

Not to be confused with an AMMO troop who assembles components into weapons...

I think...

A friend of mine is an F-16 weapons troop at Luke AFB, and I called him earlier today to ask. He said you are spot on, Sierra99.

Also he yelled at me for calling him in the middle of the night for a question like that. Forgot about the time difference. Ooops... :D

Just asked another friend, who also just so happens to be a weapons troop at Luke AFB, and this is his answer:

Ammo troops are delivery and build up (fusing, fin installation, etc.). Weapons troops load and maintain the aircraft weapons systems and fix anything that breaks in that system. We are MUCH more technically trained than ammo troops.

Check out the link below, makes it a bit easier to understand. Don´t worry about it though, it eventually becomes muscle memory and you don´t even think about it any more.

Click me gently, I am a picture.

Is there a bigger copy of this I can print out for reference!

Thanks everyone!
