kramkor Posted March 31, 2013 Posted March 31, 2013 Hi guys. I recently had an i5, 3.0GHz installed. I was expecting a better framerate than with my old CPU, a G630, 2.7GHz. I was able to run DCS with almost all the settings at High smoothly. But with the i5 and the same settings the framerate was horrible. And not only while playing DCS, games like Metro 2033 which I used to ran smoothly, now have a bad framerate. Any idea of what's happening?? Thanks, and sorry, my English is not that good xD.
SkateZilla Posted April 1, 2013 Posted April 1, 2013 Most likely the system is trying to run from the i7 IGP (DCS doesnt have a "Profile" to tell the sytem to use the Discrete GPU, so, it may be using the HDxxxx IGP) or it's Throttling. I don't know what you mean. And I think I have an integrated GPU. Hmm, I don't know almost anything about computers, and English is not my mother tongue, so could you explain it as if I were a 4 years old child, please?? xD

trooph Posted April 7, 2013 Posted April 7, 2013 search for "how to disable integrated gpu" That should help. If im not mistaken there should be an option in ur BIOS. If not try to uninstal ur IGPU drivers and dont worry about "unknown device" :)
kramkor Posted May 22, 2013 Author Posted May 22, 2013 And wouldn't that decrease my GPU performance?? My GPU isn't that good, and I think a IGPU runs faster than a non-integrated.
SkateZilla Posted May 22, 2013 Posted May 22, 2013 The Intel HD IGP is like 10% of the power of the GTX550Ti Windows 10 Pro, Ryzen 2700X @ 4.6Ghz, 32GB DDR4-3200 GSkill (F4-3200C16D-16GTZR x2), ASRock X470 Taichi Ultimate, XFX RX6800XT Merc 310 (RX-68XTALFD9) 3x ASUS VS248HP + Oculus HMD, Thrustmaster Warthog HOTAS + MFDs
