In Helios when I add interface for a new profile and choose A10C it says it cannot find game install even though I have pointed it to C:\Program Files\Eagle Dynamics\DCS A-10C.

For the latest version of A10 is there something else I need to do?

Thanks

You're kinda right. Some serious tweaking (even if you are a born computer nerd) is needed to get things work OK. And that takes time as well. But what can you do?

Yea. DCS World has made some changes to where and when the export files are read. Helios has not been updated to look in the new locations. My pit building / personal software development time has been very limited this year.

At this point I intend to open source Helios so others can help develop it, but it will take me a little bit of work to clean things up so it's ready for that. I have some bits around donations and old DRM code that need to be removed first.

Gadroc, thanks for the post, I will get it working eventually I am sure. Hope you get time one day to sort it and I do appreciate time is valuable. Ill have my mate look at it for me, he is more clued up on this. I posted on your forum in a hope one of the fine gents on there can provide a step by step guide like the one that's already there but for complete morons like me.

Actually I have them both running together very nicely. Its a temporary fix until I get Helios working properly then yes Hawg will be removed.

Layers in Helios. I have noted that some people have created switches to bring up other panels when required. I would like to do this with the CDU. No problem in bringing up the CDU panel by switch but how do I get the CDU view port to layer over the other view ports and 2) only appear when I switch the CDU panel on?

Help appreciated..... Thanks

You can use the layers section in the editor to make items on top of each other. You can move items up and down in the draw order.

Second there is a visible check box on properties of an item. This sets whether the item is visible on startup of the profile. In the editor use the layers section to toggle visibility only in the editor.

Regarding the viewport issue...

You can't turn them on and off so you have to arrange things so that they can all display fulltime but are covered as needed.

The CDU panel is actually and easy one since the Right MFD can be set to CDU Repeater and there is your display. You can configure your profile so that when you bring up the CDU keypad (turn on the hidden panel) that you also execute the correct OSB press to switch the MFD to the CDU display.
