marcos Posted April 11, 2013 Posted April 11, 2013 Just came across a free Commodore Amiga emulator for the PC. Then I came across this: http://www.thegamearchives.com/ Then I downloaded a game called 'Wings' and damn it's amazing what developers could do with 2 floppies in 1990. It's a WWI fighter aircraft experience but so much more. It's free and I highly recommended it.:D hL-qtxNgoHU

Cowboy10uk Posted April 11, 2013 Posted April 11, 2013 Wings, wow there's a blast from the past. I lost many an hr to this sim back in the early 90s on my Amiga. In fact, pretty sure it's still in the loft somewhere. You're right, the fact that such a small file size could produce such an amazing sim is a true testament to the developers of the day. outlawal2 Posted April 11, 2013 Posted April 11, 2013 It is also a testament to the Amiga machine in it's day... the AMiga kicked EVERYTHING's butt when it was King, albeit for a short period of time... I still have several models of Amiga and enjoy them to this day... It has a tiny cult following still... And Wings was one of my favorite games and is a MAJOR reason I got into flight sims in the first place.. ENJOY! "Pride is a poor substitute for intelligence." RAMBO

marcos Posted April 11, 2013 Author Posted April 11, 2013 (edited) I love the way the game has historically accurate logs about WWI aces as you follow the life of a 56th RFC (Royal Flying Corps) pilot from 1916 onwards.
