-Demon- Posted April 12, 2013 Posted April 12, 2013 I just encountered that lil translations error. The word "clear" got translated to "klar" but in this case it means "löschen". Please correct that because it doesn't make sense at all ;) Thanks. Please see attached pic. Cheers Demon 1 [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Founder of the -=VDS=- http://www.virtual-dragon-squadron.de:pilotfly:

-Demon- Posted May 1, 2013 Author Posted May 1, 2013 Well I found another translation error in the German Version of DCS:World. In Logbook: The pilots rank is called Unterleutnant. This is no real military rank. The correct rank has to be Leutnant and the next rank is Oberleutnant! Would be nice to see that corrected as well. Many Thanks in Advance Cheers Demon [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Founder of the -=VDS=- http://www.virtual-dragon-squadron.de:pilotfly:
-Demon- Posted May 13, 2013 Author Posted May 13, 2013 And another translation error. Or more a non translated part of the german version of DCS:World 1.2.4 Would be nice to get a feedback if this has been already reported. Thx in advance. sobek Posted May 13, 2013 Posted May 13, 2013 In Logbook: The pilots rank is called Unterleutnant. This is no real military rank. Yes it is, the NVA had this rank. Since the DDR is not featured in the game though, i guess it can be considered an error. Good, fast, cheap. Choose any two. Come let's eat grandpa! Use punctuation, save lives!
-Demon- Posted May 13, 2013 Author Posted May 13, 2013 Yes it is, the NVA had this rank. Since the DDR is not featured in the game though, i guess it can be considered an error. Hehe, yes you are completely right. The NVA had that rank. But in the German military this rank it is called Leutnant. After that these ranks follow: Oberleutnant, Hauptmann, Major, Oberstleutnant and Oberst... please see this link: http://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dienstgrade_der_Bundeswehr Cheers Demon [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Founder of the -=VDS=- http://www.virtual-dragon-squadron.de:pilotfly:

In a .cfg file maybe? I did look through the files but most of them are .lua and there are no ranks in any of the .cfg files. Maybe I missed it. My YouTube-Channel <-- :joystick: :pilotfly:

GRUNT -Shrek- Posted January 15, 2014 Posted January 15, 2014 I just encountered that lil translations error. Demon Was that "weathertest.miz" by me? ^^ Nevertheless, due to openbeta 1.2.7. I somehow caught the German version again, still not fixed. The German translation is barely usable, if you are used to English terms. Also it's very difficult to orientate in the new ordered lists (German).
-Demon- Posted January 15, 2014 Author Posted January 15, 2014 Hey grunt, What i miss is that clear got translated with klar and has still not been fixed :( [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Founder of the -=VDS=- http://www.virtual-dragon-squadron.de:pilotfly:
