Questions on optimal flight controls for this

Amazon has 2 MS FFB2s preowned right now for 50 ish USD. I really wish I could afford one of them but I cannot at this point until a bit after my huey purchase.

Looks like it'll be the 3D pro with ghetto freetrack for now. At least with the MS FFB2 I can later use it to mod a CH fighter stick or something into that crazy PeterP mod.

you still have time to build actual helicopter controls i.e. collective and cyclic.

when i built mine, and had a friend use it for the first time flying a helicopter (ka50), he flew it like a champ..

check out simhq.com, hovercontrol.com, they have sections on pits.. and ppl's homemade controllers

I will look into this but with my limited budget it already sounds expensive. I have some background into electronics but even PeterP's mod looks very technical.

I know I can buy used but I don't want to buy someones used junk and I'm reading driver support isn't there. Although I guess you can get it working in win 7 its not exactly plug and play.

Why doesn't anyone make these any more? I had a ffb stick for awhile but don't know what the heck happened to it. Its probably in a corner somewhere in the attic but its spooky up there. Not to mention hot as hell.

I see g940 going for more than a WH now that they are discontinued. One on ebay is 800.00, crazy! And new MSFFB are 500+ even crazier!

I rated the WH lowest because of the center "bump." It messes up a hover. I will leave it at that until release. Everyone can make their own judgment then.
