Hey guys,

I was wondering if someone can help me with the following graphics problems which have been bugging me.

Firstly, the airport lights don't seem to be displaying correctly. Rather than them being bright and shiny, I'm getting opaque red, yellow or blue orbs that are quite dark, that look nothing like real lights.

Nothing like the nice lights in this video for instance:

Could it be a graphics setting that is responsible for this, or would it be a system issue?

Also, for some reason activating cockpit shadows has absolutely no effect.

A few stats on my system:

AMD FX 8120

NVidia GTX 560 1GB

16Gb RAM

NVidia driver version 314.22 (default settings)

DirectX version 11.0

I know I'm new here, but I'd really appreciate the help! :)

Some of the airports are updated and the others are the old format... not sure which ones tho.

DCS is slowly getting updated.

The only way to make sense out of change is to plunge into it, move with it, and join the dance.

Ah I see, so I guess it's not really a graphics problem then. Good to know, thanks

What about the cockpit shadows not appearing. Does anyone have an idea what could be the issue? I found some old threads discussing the issue, but none with any kind of resolution.

If you have 32bit Windows, some options like Cockpit shadows are disabled.

Cockpit shadows are present and selectable in the options by the way. No effect on in game graphics either way though

Ahhh - I forgot - Cockpit shadows only apply to the fully 3D 6DoF cockpits

Well there we go then... I've been waiting to see something I can't ever see. Thanks!
