JesseJames38 Posted May 1, 2013 Posted May 1, 2013 Was flying with a friend today who uses the auto start feature and had a issue with the master cuation light always being on. After this i decided to try the auto start feature my self and found that after the auto start is complete the IFF and Master caution light is still on. I would like to suguest to that you could add turning the IFF on and then pushing the caution panel reset toggle befor having the "Auto start Complete" This would remove the annoying master caution light that is faulsy up there. Ralph2 Posted May 1, 2013 Posted May 1, 2013 Meh, if they use auto start, just tell them the master warning light is the ON light (and don't mind the IF switch, it's only there just in case). Joking by the way, I am a "fly first, learn how to fly later" type of guy, thank you to the actual pilots here for striving to make DCS user friendly for us less patient types (we do appreciate it, we just always assume it's not as hard as you make it out to be... Which is why we tend to fail so spectacularly). I have every bit of sim kit you could want, yet tried to fly using mouse and keyboard for my first Huey trip this morning (without knowing what the keys were...or that the mouse wasn''t an accepted controller - still got up, around and back down in one piece too!). Point being, good call, thank you (+1)
JesseJames38 Posted May 2, 2013 Author Posted May 2, 2013 I kinda look at it like this some times Ralph. You buy a nice big bbq and bring it home and need to put it togeater. YOu have the manual with you and you can always look at the manual to put it togeater. But some times the fun of it is to try and see if you can do it your self without the manual. I think some of the simulation is like that some time also. After all in this case even if you boggier it up,your not really out any pocket money as you can just hit the reset button and try again. :) Jesse
