What I would love to see integrated into in this game is a 'find match' button for multiplayer. Part of this idea came from how mechwarrior online works.

Basically you could either have a single individual or a group of people with a group leader who would push a find game button. Aircraft would be selected prior to commencing the game and then a server would find other people to play against based on skill, aircraft chosen and ping time relative to other players.

For example if the pool was made up of ground force commanders, Hueys and A10s then the server would choose or make a mission in which A10s must escort and protect a Huey to pick up some downed forces while ground commanders would be allocated a certain amount of units to stop the A10s and Hueys from prevailing. Win and lose parameters would be defined easily so games would have a definitive goal in terms of a win or lose outcome. Players would have a certain amount of lives and/or resources to complete the mission within.

A problem with multiplayer part of DCS now for the average player is you don't really get to join a mission once it has started and missions never really have a definitive end point to work towards - or if they do it takes way too long to get to that point.

That is pretty much not needed with the current size of the community and the more important work that is going on, just like my proposition of in-game voice engine/TS Integration GUI.

Sounds very "gamey" to me and not suited to a more realistic simulation environment which is one of the main points I like about DCS.

No offence, it sounds great for a light quick action type of set up like BF3 but I don't think the DCS community or the more serious simulation flyers are that way inclined.

I actually think my idea improves on the simulation aspect of the game as it places a group of people into a particular scenario with specific scenario related conditions. currently having servers where people can spawn in whatever role or team they wish to thwir hearts content with no consequnces for that particular scenario is more gamey than scenario specific. also the community may be large but given that missions take a long time to complete and often do not have very specific win or lose conditions it means it is difficult to find a game to join where everybody is on the same page in terms of working towards winning or losing. This I believe actually fragments the community more than it brings it together.
