Hi all.

I just got myself the TM hotas warthog and I need some rudders now as well.

I am looking at the saitek rudders and my options I have come up.

(1) Saitek pro FLIGHT rudder pedals + TM MFD cougar pack £140

(2) Saitek Pro Flight Combat Pedals £140

Guess it comes to if the combat are worth the extra £60 ?

I already have trackir 5 :)

Any help & advice would great thank you all.

The mechanics of both pedals are identical, the only different part is the thing you put your feet on.

They also both have the same center notch.

I'd get the pro flight ones, i'm quite happy with mine after i removed the notch.

If you think the different design is worth the extra money then get the combat ones.

I would not fuss too much about which ones to get.

In the relative scheme of all things flight simming its the hardware you will use the least amount of time unless you specifically aim to fly choppers.

So I would go with the cheaper option.

Besides, nobody ever looks under your desk, so leave the cool looking stuff for ON your desk and save the 60 bucks. ;)

I got the Combat Pro and regreat it. As Nopileus says they are identical bar the pedel itself which admitidly is aluminium but is still attached to the plastic parts and hence still has a lot of free movement before registering. Also the resistence in the toe brake is vertually non exsistent, so half the time you could have the brakes on without knowing it.

With the standard Pro Flight your intire foot has to move to brake and you can compensate with back heal. A lot more feel of control. Save the cash on the Combat and buy some switches:)

If you really dont care about the looks of the combat pedals then I would go with the standard ones and the MFD's

If you are flying the a10 then you are spending your time either using the hotas or touching the mfd's. Outside of the hotas , unless in an emergency, the mfd will get most of the button pushing thats going on - once wheels are up that is.

Thank you.

I don't care about the looks only that it works good and the mfd do look great addon for the a10.

I think I will keep my order of the normal pedals with pc world for £80 and order some MFD pack today as well.

Thank you all for your advice.

Not sure of a good place in the uk to buy the MFD cougar pack from.

The flight store is out of stock, amazon has a week 2 delivery.

The only store I can see that have them in stock for £60 but not sure how good that store is.

Anyone know of any other places to buy from in the uk?

Thank you.

Thank you :)

Going to redo all the tutorials again and this should be a little easier with the hotas.

I wish I could start building a proper cockpit setup let most you guys.

But I would lack the skill and I fear my kids (all under 5) could break some expensive electronics if unattended lol :(
