Serious issue..

Ill let the pic tell the story.. Just bought it and cant install it :(

 

 

Just installed the latest update for DCS World earlier today.

The version shown in the bottom right corner is 1.2.4.12179

I think i found a way to get the correct version.. Just went into Module Manager looked in the available Addons area. And clicked on Install next to the Huey.

 

Annnnnd @4.0kb i reckon ill be waiting to fly the chopper for 24hrs :(

Yeah, download speed of the auto-updater has wasted a lot of time of many forum members already. I guess the downloader of the module manager has the same problem

 Start Run, CMD (Command Prompt as Admin)

CD\ (which takes you to C:\ Prompt)
CD Program Files\Eagle Dynamics\DCS World\Bin\ 
then 
dcs_updater.exe update :1.2.4.11855

then upgrade everything

This will definitely be slower.

We'll improve DL speeds, but 4 KB/s seems too low... I'll take a look.

I tweaked mirror list a bit and suggest you to cancel and restart the update/install.

Russia -> USA is always gonna be slow whenever there is any kinda of Local (RUS) Load on the server.

 

If the/ a server is located state side, then there is some DNS/Routing issues going on here.
