Pigmachine Posted May 23, 2013 Posted May 23, 2013 .. so that I know how to do it, Checked through the pickup one in the single mission folder, but got none the wiser.. And I don't want to hillclimb for 30 mins just to crash at pickup spot. I want to drill pickups, to get comfortable setting down the chopper in the right place, and 'get rewarded' for it Now i have a downed A-10 with an infantryman standing there looking stupid, 100 meters away! to train on. pakfront Posted May 23, 2013 Posted May 23, 2013 I higly recommend this one: Shorts hops, lots of pickups and dropoffs and a bit of a tactical puzzle. http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=106294

[Knight] Posted May 23, 2013 Posted May 23, 2013 (edited) Well since your new to the ME with this kind of thing I suggest not to use scripts in the beginning. I would first get to know your way around in the ME. If you already know a thing or 2 about scripts be my guest. If you your not using scripts then here are the steps. For pick up: Make a trigger point (25 meter diameter) have the unit(s) placed where u want to land. Click the trigger button, select new, once, none, then the next box select new, group inside zone select the zone you just made in the drop down menu then the next drop down menu below that select the group you have to have in the zone ,(your Huey) then select new again, scan through the drop down menu select units airspeed is lower than (1), click new again select units vertical speed is at (-1) and (+1). You can do the same for the altitude BUT...... you have to make sure to have the trigger on flat even terrain all the way around so that it works properly. I personally don't use the altitude trigger. Now the next box (Actions) Click new. Then select deactivate group (unit that you will be picking up) Click new after that and select (set cargo) in the drop down menu. Add the necessary weight for the pick up. If you have the LZ in a hard area to spot you can create another trigger zone about 1500 to 2000 meters and have it set up when you fly in it it will pop flares or smoke at the LZ trigger zone. Setting up smoke is easy just choose the color and always have the altitude at 1 Drop off is the same but you must create the unit on the map in a set location and have late activation checked. And remember to set the internal cargo back to 0. Most of the trigger setups in ME are self explanatory. If you have any further questions don't hesitate to ask. EagleEye Posted May 24, 2013 Posted May 24, 2013 that's the sort of mission I have been looking for why is this not in missions thread Youre right, this needs to be in the mission section. Therefore I have added it. Hopefully the author doesn`t mind. Deutsche DCS-Flughandbücher SYSSpecs: i7-4790K @4GHz|GA-Z97X-SLI|16GB RAM|ASUS GTX1070|Win10 64bit|TrackIR5|TM Warthog/Saitek Pro Pedals
