Ramstein Posted May 31, 2013 Posted May 31, 2013 Recticle sits too low in P-51D im multiplayer.. At first for a long time the gun recticle was right, no problems, then a few weeks ago (not sure exactly when)... the recticle appeared lower than the dash, and out of view. In single player offline,. all is ok. But, when you join a multiplayer the gunsite, recticle sits so low, you either only see the top half of the circle or none at all depending whether it is set to auto, gyro, or manual setting. But, either single player or joining a multiplayer the gunsite is not usable. I am surprised no one else has had this problem, and or reported it. Out whole squad, who has the P-51D has this problem. Sorry, I don't have a photo right now, but hopefully will get a photo, snapshot, or someone else can post one. Thanx.. Ramstein Posted June 7, 2013 Author Posted June 7, 2013 last night I joined the squad server (hosted by another squad member) and the P-51D recticle was good, (no problems). But, the host tried the P-51D, and still had the problem. Ramstein Posted July 14, 2013 Author Posted July 14, 2013 we still have members having the gun recticle sitting too low (only 1/2 showing above the bracket, and dashboard panel) in the Mustang. We can't understand why no one is is having and/or reporting this problem. Echo38 Posted July 14, 2013 Posted July 14, 2013 It's only a problem when joining certain servers hosted by people in your squad, right? There is a file which can over-ride individual users' view settings. Not exactly sure how it works. Perhaps whoever is host has accidentally done something with this file? 1
WildBillKelsoe Posted July 14, 2013 Posted July 14, 2013 question: when I've enabled head movement by G forces inside cockpit option, sometimes I have to raise myself specially with -ve G moves to be able to see the reticle. Is this normal? other times, I need to duck. is this also normal? Thanks. AWAITING ED NEW DAMAGE MODEL IMPLEMENTATION FOR WW2 BIRDS Fat T is above, thin T is below. Long T is faster, Short T is slower. Open triangle is AWACS, closed triangle is your own sensors. Double dash is friendly, Single dash is enemy. Circle is friendly. Strobe is jammer. Echo38 Posted July 14, 2013 Posted July 14, 2013 (edited) when I've enabled head movement by G forces inside cockpit option, sometimes I have to raise myself specially with -ve G moves to be able to see the reticle. Is this normal? other times, I need to duck. is this also normal? When pulling G's? Yeah, normal and working as intended. If you don't want to keep raising and lowering your virtual head as your target pulls and unloads, you may want to simply move your virtual head forward, closer to the gunsight, until you are done shooting. This should make it easier to see the sight without having to fiddle with your head. (When I say moving the virtual head forward, by the way, I don't mean zooming in. You probably know this, but I've had a large number of people get confused about this in the past.) Edited July 14, 2013 by Echo38

WildBillKelsoe Posted July 22, 2013 Posted July 22, 2013 I think its a posture problem. Maybe Rctrl + Rshift+Num 8 would fix it? msalama Posted September 29, 2013 Posted September 29, 2013 why no one is is having and/or reporting this problem. There's an options file forcing display resolutions etc. on every client inside the .miz file, which itself is actually a .zip archive. Open it with a file archiver such as 7-Zip and delete the options file and see if that helps. The DCS Mi-8MTV2. The best aviational BBW experience you could ever dream of.
Ramstein Posted October 5, 2013 Author Posted October 5, 2013 the last patch appears to have fixed problems with the gunsite ..
