jakare Posted June 5, 2013 Posted June 5, 2013 In Beacons.lua file, I found 5 VOR stations Gelendzhik 114.30 GNV Krasnodar 115.80 KRD Kopitnari 113.60 KTS Mineralnye 117.10 MNV Lochini 113.70 TBS I tried to use Lochini and Krasnodar VOR beacons At the parking, I set my radio nav to the right frequency 1 - The ID code is playing 2 - twin needle HSI is movingl to the station 3 - Both CDI needles are decentered (meaning the CDI is operational) While I am at the parking no problem (needles and sound works), but as soon as I took off I lose the connection very quickly?. Itr is not a hiding problem, because i am still above the airport. Does anyone has an explanation? I am not sure if the problem come from DCS World or from the HUEY. Enjoy you flights:pilotfly: [sIGPIC]http://lh4.ggpht.com/_2nZGbOZAW0k/TMKfgcMUOzI/AAAAAAAADFk/W8Na6FhYNCM/jakare-signature.jpg[/sIGPIC]
Slayer Posted June 5, 2013 Posted June 5, 2013 (edited) Do they model the cone of silence over a VOR? Try moving away from it a bit? EDIT: Those are marker beacons...very short range not a VOR Real world NDB for Lochini is 923 KHz try that and see if it works. Flyingfrog Posted July 17, 2013 Posted July 17, 2013 The cone of Silence would be too wild. I tested 4 VORs. Look like signal start of see level to grow up at a very soft slope. One of them (I thing was MNV, not sure), when inbound, even you are at few meters of ground, I lost the signal about 15mn from the station. I posted the issue to DCSW B&P, no answer yet. http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=109635
kontiuka Posted July 5, 2014 Posted July 5, 2014 I just came across this problem with Kutaisi. It seems the closer I get, the lower I have to fly to intercept the signal. At one point, I had to be less than 10 ft off the ground.
